Showtime has released the first trailer and poster for the upcoming fourth season of “Masters of Sex”.
Premiering on Sunday, September 11th at 10PM ET/PT, “Masters of Sex” stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as real-life pioneers of human sexuality, William Masters and Virginia Johnson. Season four begins in 1968 and will take viewers into the “swinging ‘70s,” during which time the series’ characters will take on new partners both professionally, personally and sexually.

As the late 60’s become the early 70’s, Masters of Sex is all about revolution. Bras are burning, sex is everywhere, and Masters and Johnson reap the benefits and the pressures of the revolution they’ve let loose in the world. Beginning the season at odds and burdened by lies, they slowly switch roles in both their work and the bedroom.
