Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures are developing a sequel to animated animal flick “The Secret Life of Pets” – which is out now – and have slated the sequel to release on July 13, 2018.
Writer Brian Lynch and director Chris Renaud will return for the sequel. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri will produce with Janet Healy.
“The Secret Life of Pets” stars the voices of Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet and Kevin Hart with co-stars Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress and Albert Brooks.
