Writer/director Jason Neulander brings us his feature film debut with Fugitive Dreams, a road movie about two troubled drifters whose lives become beautifully entangled as they seek a place to call home. Here’s the official synopsis:
In this allegorical road movie touching on themes of homelessness, mental health, and addiction, two lost souls embark across a dreamscape America. Their darkly strange journey confronts them with their traumatic pasts, and bonds them in compassion and love.
Lead by April Matthis (New Amsterdam, Instinct, Wendell and the Lemon) and Robbie Tann (When They See Us, The Deuce, Preacher), Fugitive Dreams is looking to be a must-watch for anybody virtually attending this year’s Fantasia Film Festival. It made its way onto our list of most-anticipated films at the fest earlier this month, so be sure to check it out if you can!
