Triple Frontier looking at an August start; new cast in talks – Sorry to Bother You gets more stars

Following Ben Affleck’s exit from “Triple Frontier”, the Netflix-thriller has got to keep on keeping-on, eyeing a production start in August. Deadline is reporting that Mark Wahlberg is currently in talks to replace Affleck, and that Garrett Hedlund, Charlie Hunman and Adria Arjona are also in talks to join the cast.

“Triple Frontier” has been plagued with casting dropouts, with Tom Hardy and Channing Tatum previously dropping off the project, and news remaining unclear if director JC Chandor would stay aboard. As it stands, Chandor is still directing the film, and no doubt more news is imminent about who will take on the casting roles available.

Boots Riley’s directorial debut “Sorry to Bother You” is coming together, with Danny Glover, David Cross and Patton Oswalt all coming aboard the project. The film focuses on a black telemarketer who discovers the key to success of business, uncovering the secrets of his corporate overlords.

The three stars join previously announced cast Tessa Thompson, Lakeith Stanfield, Armie Hammer, Jermaine Fowler, Omari Hardwick, Terry Crews and Steven Yeun. The film is currently shooting in Oakland. News via Deadline.
