Trolls is getting a sequel!

Universal and Dreamworks are bringing back animated favourite ”Trolls” in 2020! Deadline reports that following the success of the 2016 film, Trolls 2 is in the works.

”Trolls” had a very successful run at the box office, making just short of $340 million since November. So it’s no surprise that both Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake are set to reprise their cute candy-coloured toy counterparts Poppy and Branch, respectively.

We’ll have to wait until April 10, 2020 for the release, but there will be a few changes – it seems original director Mike Mitchell won’t be back on the film, however has signed on to direct the ”Lego Batman” sequel, set for release in February 2019. Furthermore, ”Trolls” was distributed through 20th Century Fox’s deal with Dreamworks Animation, but following the acquisition from NBC Universal, they will now distribute the sequel.

Can’t stop the feeling that this will be a good one!
