“Supernatural” star Jared Padalecki is attached to star in a reboot of Chuck Norris classic “Walker, Texas Ranger” for CBS Television Studios.
Though no network is currently a lock to air the new version of the action classic, Anna Fricke is attached to write and executive produce the new series.
The series would focus on Walker as he returns from years undercover. A widower and father of two, he begins fighting crime with a new partner, who is one of the only female Rangers in history.
Padalecki would be fresh off The CW’s “Supernatural”, which is wrapping its fifteen season-run this year.
