The CW developing modern-day Alice in Wonderland series

With everything fairytale back in the biggest way, no surprise to hear that The CW is toying with a new version of “Alice in Wonderland”.

The network is developing a a present-day take on Lewis Carroll’s classic fairytale – made most recently into a feature by Tim Burton – to be “centered on a young female detective in present-day Los Angeles who discovers another world that exists under the surface of this ultra-modern city.”

The script for “Wunderland” has been commissioned, says THR, with McG serving as one of the show’s producers.
