Stephen King’s The Stand gets a movie and mini-series!

Last we heard, Josh Boone (“The Fault in Our Stars”) was developing a three-hour film version of Stephen King classic “The Stand”.

Now, word from The Wrap, is that said project will be accompanied by an eight-part TV mini series!

Double “Stand” coming our way!

Warner, CBS Films, and Boone will develop and produce the TV spin-off – and reportedly for Showtime, who they’re currently talking to.

To be written and directed by Boone, both the movie and mini-series would follow a group of apocalypse survivors who fight against an Antichrist-like rogue named Randall Flag.

“The Stand” was previously made into a ’90s mini-series starring Rob Lowe, Gary Sinise, and Molly Ringwald.
