According to Mike Fleming, Promising new director Ben Affleck may follow up 2010”s “The Town” with “American Bullshit” (I can tell you now, that name will change!) described as “the true story of Abscam, the FBI’s 1980 undercover sting operation of Congress to root out corruption which was the brainchild of the world’s greatest con man.”
The script, which is number 30 on the Black List (a list of Hollywood’s hottest unproduced screenplays), was penned by Eric Warren-Singer.
Affleck, who was also offered “Man of Steel” post-“The Town” (he passed, pathing the way for Zack Snyder to snag the gig), hasn’t officially committed but is said to be seriously considering.
