Alias duo Garner, Abrams back with new series

Two decades after their success with “Alias”, Jennifer Garner and J.J Abrams will reunite on a new limited series for Apple.

”My Glory Was I Had Such Friends” a one-hour drama headlined by and executive produced by Garner and executive produced by Abrams via his Bad Robot Productions banner.

Based on the 2017 memoir of the same name by Amy Silverstein, the story showcases the power of friendship and the resilience of the human spirit as it follows an extraordinary group of women who supported Silverstein as she waited for a second life-saving heart transplant.

The series is written and executive produced by Karen Croner, who penned the 2017 feature adaptation of the book ”The Tribes of Palos Verdes” that starred Garner.

Abrams and Garner, though best known for their work together on “Alias”, also collaborated on “Felicity”.
