“Ghostbusters” alum Ernie Hudson will play Gabrielle Union’s on-screen father in the “Bad Boys” TV spin-off.
The NBC series stars Union as Syd Burnett, the DEA agent (from “Bad Boys II”) who gets a fresh start as an LAPD detective. She’s partnered with her opposite, Nancy McKenna, a working mother who is somewhat envious of Burnett’s freedom.
Hudson, whose other credits include “The Crow” and “Grace & Frankie”, plays Joseph Burnett.
The Jerry Bruckheimer produced pilot, based on the two Will Smith-Martin Lawrence movies, was penned by “The Blacklist” writers-producers Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier.
