Bandie gets some Amusement

“Band Camp” star in Jake Wade Wall thriller

The guy’s name probably rings as much of a bell as the next Hollywood apprentice, but gotta say, happy to hear that Tad Hilgenbrinck is going places – even if he is about as famous as your favourite independent pizzeria. Tad was the chap that played Matt Stifler – ever so amusingly, and effectively – in last year’s direct-to-DVD sequel “American Pie: Band Camp”. He was superb in it, very funny, and I was amazed that he didn’t turn up as a blip on Hollywood’s radar sooner. But again, the film was “American Pie: Band Camp” so maybe no surprise that he hasn’t been voted to the board of the Academy thus far.

Obviously filmmaker John Simpson had “Band Camp” out on his Netflix recently, because he’s just signed Tad to co-star in his new teen thriller, “Amusement”.

The film, about a group of friends stalked by a serial killer who knows them from their childhood, will also star newcomers Keir O’Donnell, Katheryn Winnick, Laura Breckenridge, Jessica Lucas. It began filming in Budapest, Hungary, this week.

The script was penned by “When A Stranger Calls” scribe Jake Wade Wall – apparently it’s a project he’s been wanting to get off the ground since Osama went into hiding.

Good luck Tad.
