Ben Affleck no longer joining Kristen Stewart in Focus

For one reason or another (most outlets suggest that his awards circuit commitments to “Argo” is the cause), Ben Affleck has dropped out of Glenn Ficarra and John Requa’s con comedy “Focus”, according to Variety.

Kristen Stewart remains attached to play a young con woman who teams with a veteran of the game to learn the art of swindle. Affleck was to play the mentor.

The filmmakers are now out to find a male lead to assist Stewart in her street – and, if recent reports suggesting there’s some ‘steamy’ scenes in the film are true, the bedroom – on “Focus”.
