Julia Roberts will produce and star in a film adaptation of Harlan Coben’s book “Fool Me Once”.
“Story follows a former special ops pilot Maya (Roberts) who sees an unthinkable image captured by her nanny cam while she is at work: her 2-year-old daughter playing with Maya’s husband, Joe — who had been brutally murdered two weeks earlier” (via Variety).
Keanu Reeves will join Lily Collins in director Marti Noxon’s dark comedy “To the Bone.”
Inspired by her own personal experience with anorexia, Noxon makes her feature directorial debut on the project in which Reeves will play William Beckham, a doctor with an unorthodox style who pushes Collins’ character to commit to getting better.
Mark Webber, Rachel Hurd-Wood and Lorant Deutsch will star in chiller “Labirintus”, from director Joe Dante.
Alan Campbell penned the script about “a paranormal investigator (Webber), psychiatric researcher (Hurd-Wood) and engineer (Deutsch) who join forces to explore an abandoned subterranean Soviet research facility, hidden within the dark twisting catacombs beneath Buda Castle. When supernatural forces confound and torment the group they begin to question their own sanity. To escape they must quash their fears and lead their team to find and destroy the dark heart of the maze” (via Variety).
William Moseley has joined MVP Studios’ live-action “A Little Mermaid”, with Shirley MacLaine, Poppy Drayton, Loreto Peralta, Diahann Carroll, William Forsythe and Gina Gershon.
Inspired by the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, Chris Bouchard is directing from a screenplay by Blake Harris.
Moseley will play a reporter, who travels with his younger sister (Peralta) to a small Southern town where they discover an enchanting creature (Drayton) they believe to be the real “Little Mermaid”.
Samuel Barnett will play the titular character in BBC America‘s comedy-thriller series “Dirk Gently”.
From writer/director Max Landis, “Dirk Gently” follows the bizarre adventures of eccentric “holistic” detective Dirk Gently and his reluctant assistant Todd (Elijah Wood), as they wend their way through one big, seemingly insane mystery a season, crossing unlikely paths with a bevy of wild and sometimes dangerous characters, each episode landing them a few random steps closer to uncovering the truth.
Lyriq Bent will play NFL player Marlin Briscoe in “The Magician, the Marlin Briscoe Story”.
Gregory Allen Howard (“Remember the Titans”) penned the script which centres on Briscoe, who became the first starting black quarterback in the NFL in 1968, playing for the Denver Broncos.
