Casting: A Series Of Unfortunate Events, xXx, The Flash, Marvel’s Most Wanted

Malina Weissman (“Supergirl”) has been cast as Violet and Louis Hynes will play Klaus in Netflix’s adaptation of “Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events”.

Neil Patrick Harris is in talks to play the adult lead of Count Olaf in the series, to be directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.

“A Series of Unfortunate Events” centres on three orphan siblings – Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire – who are doggedly pursued by their distant cousin/uncle Count Olaf in a bid to get his hands on their parents fortune.

The book series was made into a film in 2004, starring Jim Carey as Count Olaf, Emily Browning as Violet and Liam Aiken as Klaus. Brad Silberling directed the movie.

 

 

Andrey Ivchenko will star opposite Vin Diesel, Samuel L. Jackson, Jet Li, Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose and Deepika Padukone in “XXX: The Return of Xander Cage”.

According to Variety, Inchenko will play one of the bad guys Diesel faces off against.

The sequel will be directed by D.J. Caruso.

 

 

Allison Paige (“Days of our Lives”) has joined “The Flash” in a guest starring role.

Paige will play Eliza Harmon aka Trajectory, Central City’s first female speedster.

Having arrived in town intent on creating maximum chaos, Trajectory’s antics are misinterpreted as having been perpetrated by the Flash himself. Barry thus must quickly! uncover the mystery of who is the girl under the mask — as well as what is driving her mad desire for speed and destruction – via TVLine.

 

 

ABC’s “Marvel’s Most Wanted” pilot has cast Delroy Lindo as Dominic Fortune, “a rogue and adventurer in the 1930s, who craved wealth and excitement with his globe-trotting odysseys” (via THR).

Set to star Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood, “Marvel’s Most Wanted” is a spinoff of “Agents of SHIELD”, following the adventures of Bobbi Morse (aka Mockingbird) and Lance Hunter.
