Chris Pratt not doing Ghostbusters spin-off

Despite Channing Tatum’s hopes to lure him as co-star, Chris Pratt won’t be starring in the guy-led spin-off of Paul Feig’s “Ghostbusters”.

The film, which would follow Feig’s all-female “Ghostbusters”, would be directed and produced by Joe & Anthony Russo. As revealed in leaked emails between the actor and Sony, Tatum would star, and he’d wanted Pratt to join him.

But either the idea has gone by the wayside, or there’s been a change in direction, because Pratt says Tatum has never brought it up once.

“No one has ever even spoken to me about that”, the “Jurassic World” actor tells GQ. “Never. I’ve even seen Channing a couple times. As far as I know, that’s complete bullshit. ‘Knight Rider’ – bulls–t. All of them.”

Obviously Pratt’s forgotten that it was actually Pratt that suggested him for “Ghostbusters” – we saw the emails! – so it was clearly wasn’t bulls–it. Well, not entirely. As is probably the case, the idea has been put on the back-burner until the studio sees how the first new “Ghostbusters” movie goes first before confirming follow-ups.
