Boy these bits are big today! The news items that is. Trailers for "Freddy vs Jason" and "Spy Kids 3-D", First pics from "Blast!", and "Hellboy" as well as titbits on "Chronicles of Riddick", "X Men 3" and the WB’s "Angel".

  • FilmFreak has put together another little featurette from the Matrix EPK. It’s about 4:21 and has all the sound bites from Keanu and Hugo and cut into it is the tearoom fight and the replication scene. Thanks to ‘Shaun’

  • FilmJerk reports that Tobe Hooper has decided his next film will be a remake of the horrid 1978 camp horror film “The Toolbox Murders”. Very unexciting Tobe, very unexciting.

  • Renee Zellweger talked to Cinema Confidential about “Bridget Jones’s Diary 2”. And fan’s, it doesn’t look good.

  • Bloody Disgusting has the first shot of Ron Perlman as “Hellboy” up.

  • it’s great to hear “Angel” is back on the WB Schedule. And with James “Spike” Marsters too. But regrettably, it’s at the cost of losing Charisma “Cordy” Carpenter, who will no longer be a regular cast member.

  • "Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding", an off-broadway play that’s been running for 15 years, is being made into a movie reports FilmJerk. So far, only Guillermo Diaz of "Nowhere" and "Party Girl" has been cast, as Raphael the videographer. The four week production will begin in New York on June 16.   • Newcomer Alexa Davalos has joined the cast of "Chronicles of Riddick", opposite Vin Diesel, says The Hollywood Reporter.

  • The Hollywood Reporter says Crusader Entertainment has acquired the rights to Ayn Rand’s 1957 novel "Atlas Shrugged" and has hired writer James V. Hart to adapt. "Atlas" follows one woman’s quest to solve the enigmatic question of "Who is John Galt?" — The man who said he would stop the motor of the world and did. The story is set in a near-future United States whose economy is collapsing because of the inexplicable disappearance of the country’s leading innovators and industrialists and the growth of arbitrary power on the part of its politicians
