Dwayne Johnson action film picked up by Legendary

Legendary has forked out seven figures to nab China-set action movie “Skyscraper”, with Dwayne Johnson attached to star.

Rawson Marshall Thurber is on board to write and direct with Beau Flynn set to produce.

While plot details haven’t been made available, THR reports the film is based on Thurber’s original idea, taking place in a mega-skyscraper in China… Think “Die Hard” meets “Towering Inferno”.

Flynn will produce via his FlynnPictureCo with Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions and Thurber.
