Edge of Tomorrow sequel gets a title, with Blunt and Cruise confirmed to return

“Edge of Tomorrow”, the Groundhog Day of action films, is making its return with a brand new title. Director Doug Liman has confirmed to Collider the title “Live Die Repeat and Repeat” will be the title of the sequel, and that stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt will make their return.

The title is familiar to those who have seen the 2014 flick, as the phrase “Live. Die. Repeat” featured on DVD covers.

Liman has been quoted stating:

“We have an amazing story! It’s incredible! Way better than the first film, and I obviously loved the first film. It will be called Live Die Repeat and Repeat. Tom [Cruise] is excited about it, and Emily Blunt is excited about it. The big question is just when we’ll do it. But it’s not an if, it’s a when.”

So no news yet on the release date, or anything else for that matter, but here’s hoping the plotline is a bit more creative than the title.
