The CW has issued the first audio-visual treat for Fall’s “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”.
The series, a spin-off of both “The Flash” and “Arrow” and featuring (mostly) characters that appeared on those shows, stars Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell and more. It’s a mid-season offering, meaning it won’t hit the box until early 2016.
Here’s the official synopsis (which reveals who Caity Lotz – who played the thought-deceased Black Canary on “Arrow” – plays) for the Berlanti Productions’ effort.
When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Routh is Ray Palmer/Atom, Miller is Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, Purcell is Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Renee is Kendra/Hawkgirl, Garber is Professor Martin Stein, Darvill is Rip Hunter, and Loitz is White Canary. How does White Canary come to be, when the woman wearing her guise seeemingly died on “Arrow”? Guess we’ll find out! (maybe the new Ra’s Al Ghul on “Arrow” brings her back?).
