We’re one-step closer to a full-blown small-screen Justice League.
While it’s not pointy-ears himself, Batwoman is said to be headed to TV’s “Arrow” – and it’s spin-offs – as part of the show’s next big crossover episode in December.
“Arrow” star Stephen Amell shared the news at the CW upfronts today. “We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be doing another crossover event this fall on the CW, and we’ll be introducing a new character,” Amell said. “For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific. The crossover is going to make it to air in December. I need to leave right now and start filming it.”
Batwoman is Kate Kane, a vigilante (and Jewish lesbian) from Gotham City who, like Batman, does her best to protect the city from scum. The character was first introduced as Kathy Kane in 1965 before being reiaimgined for DC Comics’ New 52.
“We are adding the city of Gotham into the Arrowverse,” CW boss Mark Pedowitz added. “This will be another full-throttled, action-packed event.”
“Arrow” season 7 premieres this fall.
