Happyish isn’t coming back

Showtime’s “Happyish” has been cancelled after just one season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Steve Coogan starrer (he replaced the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, who appeared in the well-received pilot) fixed on a a man in a moment of time – midlife, midcareer – who asks himself ‘is it all worth it?’.

Showtime picked up the series in 2011 when it was known as “Pigs in Shit”.

When it premiered in the Spring, “Happyish” nabbed only 430,000 viewers and very mixed reviews.
