The 1990 film “Jacob’s Ladder” is getting remade, with Jeff Buhler penning the script. The original film starred Tim Robbins, and told of a Vietnam War vet who suffers increasingly bizarre hallucinations and attempts to discover the truth behind them.
The movie, which has a twist ending, was made by Carolco and achieved cult hit status. It was directed by Adrian Lyne.
The new film will be produced by Michael Gaeta and Alison Rosenweig. According to the Hollywood Reporter news, they are looking to more of an homage to the 1990 film, as opposed to a direct remake.
The next step will be to locate a director.
