Is Jeremy Renner about to lose one of his franchises!?

First they take the “Bourne” brand for him, now “Avengers” and “Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters” alum Jeremy Renner might find himself skittled out of the “Mission : Impossible” movies.

No, they’re not bringing Matt Damon in to replace him in the “M:I” movies – it’s a more straightforward, less financially-driven excuse. According to the man himself, the shooting schedule for the upcoming “Mission : Impossible 6” may clash with the “Avengers : Infinity War” movie that Renner is expected to shoot at the same time. As a consequence, there’s the possibility that Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) mightn’t have the assist of William Brandt next time round.

“MI6, I’m not sure what’s happening”, Renner tells Collider. “I think it’s going to be coming down to…I know that they’re really wanting to get it going, and I haven’t spoken to Tom yet about where it’s at. I know there might be some conflict with schedules, so I’m not sure what’s going to happen. Avengers is gonna eat up a lot of next year. Gladly, but I certainly hope it doesn’t ultimately get in the way of Tom and I and the gang getting back together for that, because I’d love to.”

With both “Avengers” and “M:I” shooting next year, in order to meet their release dates the following year, it’s a given there probably will a clash here – just to what extent, nobody seems to know yet.

Even if “Mission : Impossible 6” does go Renner-less, the actor has enough going on to keep him busy — not to mention those “Avengers” and “Hansel & Gretel” franchises. In the least though, one suspects he might make a cameo in the former.

“Mission : Impossible 6”, to be written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, is in theaters July 27, 2018.

So the next X-Men is a remake of X-Men : The Last Stand, then!?
