Katniss and Star-Lord for Passengers

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are reportedly in early talks to star in space drama “Passengers”.

“The Imitation Game” director Morten Tyldun will helm the pic from a script by Jon Spaihts.

The Sony film is set on a spacecraft in the future, with thousands of passengers making an interstellar voyage to a distant new planet. One passenger awakens from cryogenic sleep 90 years before anyone else and decides to wake up a female passenger, sparking the beginning of a love story.

Producers are Neal Moritz and Ori Marmur of Moritz’s Original Film with Michael Maher of Start Media and Stephen Hamel of Company Films.

Variety first reported the news of Lawrence’s negotiations while The Hollywood Reporter brought the Pratt news.
