Kong: Skull Island courting Brie Larson & Russell Crowe

Brie Larson (“Trainwreck”) is in talks to star in “Kong: Skull Island”.

Larson will join Tom Hiddleston and two other male leads in the Legendary Pictures project.

Michael Keaton and JK Simmons were previously attached to play those roles, however they both exited the project due to reported scheduling conflicts. Now, according to Deadline, Legendary is keen for Russell Crowe to play one of the parts.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts is directing the film from a script by John Gatins and Max Borenstein. Production will likely kick off late this year or early 2016.

“Kong: Skull Island” will be released by Universal on March 10, 2017.
