“Chicago Fire” star Lauren German has nabbed the female lead in Fox’s drama pilot “Lucifer” opposite Tom Ellis.
The actress will play Chloe Dancer, an LAPD homicide detective who is “repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer” as they work together to solve a murder.
Adapted from the DC comic, the show centres on the titular character, who, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles. There he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals. “Sleepy Hollow” co-creator Len Wiseman will direct the pilot.
