Nearly half of Rogue One being reshot!?

Rumours hit in the latter half of the week concerning possible reshoots on this December’s “Rogue One : A Star Wars Story”.

Now first things first, Disney and Lucasfilm planned to do some reshoots – what they mightn’t have planned for is the length of those particular reshoots.

Sounds like the pressure is on for the studio’s flagship solo adventure.

According to MakingStarWars.net, as much as 40% of the Gareth Edwards directed film may be reshoot. Supervising the reshoots are “Force Awakens” alum J.J Abrams. 32 new sets have been created for the new stuff. They’re working six days a week for 8 weeks to get this done in time. General consensus is that they’re trying to give the film more of a sense of ‘fun’ – in that, in it’s current form, Edwards has made something too ‘dark’ for the studio’s liking. Rumours suggesting screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie was joining director Edwards to helm the new footage are false – according to the former.

I’m sure it’s all completely fine, and more and more of the bits above will be debunked; after all, that trailer does not suggest something that needs a lot of work.
