A series of new stills from “Max Steel” have come online.

Guillermo Del Toro says the “Pacific Rim” animated series is only in the early stages. “[We] are talking about all the possibilities in terms of networks. We’re formulating ideas that are, again, interesting and not the usual route, but the series tackles the stories that happened to pilots working in the Shatterdome, but also cadets learning how to become pilots. All of this happens prior to the first movie, and it gives you a little more depth into the background of certain characters that will appear in the second movie.”

Peter Stormare, currently on screens in “22 Jump Street”, will play Count Vertigo on The CW’s “Arrow”.

Matthew Modine (“The Dark Knight Rises”) will play the lead in “The Three Lucias”, a new Australian-produced drama shot in Malta. “The US actor will play Tony, a guy with a colourful past who is about to return home with the young daughter he didn’t know he had until her mother Lucia died. His daughter is reluctant to leave and forms an attachment to a movie star with her own secrets. Over three days of Easter their lives intertwine with two other women called Lucia.” Claire Forlani (“Meet Joe Black”) co-stars.

“Perfect Sisters” starring Abigail Breslin, and “Very Good Girls” starring Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen, are going DTV downunder.

Sylvester Stallone is in talks to play hitman Greg Scarpa in a new biopic from producers Irwin Winkler and Avi Lerner.
