It has been revealed that the next “Transformers” movie will be a spinoff film following the character Bumblebee.
That film, along with two more “Transformers” movies, have also received release dates: “Transformers 5” will open on June 23, 2017; the Bumblebee spinoff will be released on June 18, 2018; and “Transformers 6” will hit the big screen on June 28, 2019.
News of the spinoff movie comes from Tom Warner, the Transformers franchise leader for Hasbro, via an investor conference call for Toy Fair. He said:
