Shia LaBeouf set for Villain role

Shia LaBeouf’s set for Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s next, “Villain”, a psychological thriller that’s log line’s not – and it doesn’t necessarily mean the film will be of a similar ilk – too dissimilar than the one used by the Alec Baldwin/Anthony Hopkins flick “The Edge”.

In this one, says Deadline, LaBeouf and his brother find themselves in the unforgiving wilderness together; it forces them to reconnect.

“Robocop” remake scribe Josh Zetumer is behind the libretto.

Wild Bunch are shopping the product at Cannes.
