Universal’s “Steve Jobs” film will hit cinemas on October 9.
Setting the date just in time for awards season, it’s likely the studio sees an awards contender in the flick that stars Michael Fassbender as Jobs.
Seth Rogen also stars as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak while Kate Winslet plays ex-Macintosh marketing chief Joanna Hoffman and Jeff Daniels is former Apple CEO John Sculley. Katherine Waterston plays Jobs’ ex-girlfriend Chrisann Brennan and Michael Stuhlbarg plays an original members of the Apple Macintosh development team Andy Hertzfeld.
Danny Boyle directs from Aaron Sorkin’s adaption of Walter Isaacson’s biography “Steve Jobs”.
The film will open against Halle Berry starer “Kidnap,” Disney’s Chris Pine thriller “The Finest Hours” and New Line’s “Vacation” reboot.
