”The Day” was one of the most buzzed-about films at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness section. The film stars a stunning cast that includes Shawn Ashmore (The ”X-Men” trilogy), Dominic Monaghan (“Lost” and ”The Lord of the Rings”) Shannyn Sossamon (”A Knight’s Tale”, ”40 Days and 40 Nights”) and Ashley Bell (”The Last Exorcism”).

Open war against humanity rages. 5 survivors; lost and on the run. The pursuit is relentless, the bullets are dwindling and the battle is everywhere. Lost, starving and exhausted, the group take shelter in a deserted farmhouse. While searching for food and resources, they unwittingly set off a trap signalling to their ruthless predators lying in wait to begin their deadly attack. The group must make a desperate final stand, over a 24 hour period, battling for their ultimate survival.
