Caffeinated Clint
Yesterday, Marvel teased – via the social yak wire – that they’d be unveiling a new title (most assumed ‘movie’ title) on today’s episode of “The View”.
Seemed like a strange vehicle to promote any new comic book property, but alas Whoopi indeed snagged the honors to unveil the company’s next.big.thing.
A female ‘Thor’.
Comic book. Not Movie.
But still, a female ‘Thor’.
A chick with boobs and a hammer.
As cool as it sounds to the outsider, a lot of fan boys are enraged. Not quite sure why. But still, they’re picketing, er, Facebook.
“It’s a huge day in the Marvel Universe”, Whoopi said on The View. “Thor, the God of Thunder, he messed up, and he’s no longer worthy to hold that damn hammer of his. For the first time in history, that hammer is being held by a woman. That’s right. Thor is a woman!”
Apparently Ms Thor makes her debut in October, but I’m betting there’ll be some sort of tease before then – what with Comic Con just around the corner.

While it’s unlikely we’ll be seeing the female Thor take over for Chris Hemsworth’s blokey version on the big screen anytime soon, “Avengers” shepherd Joss Whedon has one casting idea should the studio ever decide to take a punt on putting their cinematic incarnation in a Bra.
