“The Ranch Part 2” is set to premiere on Netflix on October 7, and today a new trailer has been released.
In new episodes of The Ranch, the Bennett family copes with the aftermath of a difficult ranching season. After narrowly selling their steers at market, Colt Bennett (Ashton Kutcher), Rooster Bennett (Danny Masterson), and Beau Bennett (Sam Elliott) resume their roles on the family ranch: Beau taking a hard line on all ranching matters and his sons resenting him for it. When Maggie Bennett (Debra Winger), leaves town in the middle of the night without warning, it foreshadows an even deeper rift in the family to come…
As Colt struggles with his family’s dysfunction, he takes solace and confides in his former high school sweetheart, Abby Phillips (Elisha Cuthbert). When Abby expresses doubts about marrying her fiancé, Colt sees an opportunity to win her back. Meanwhile, Colt and Rooster look toward the future and consider working with a large ranching conglomerate, Nueman’s Hill, which could bring some stability to their otherwise turbulent lifestyle. Through all this, Colt is learning that the bucolic ranch life is much dirtier than it appears.
