Trailer : Tar

A dozen NYU students have written and directed a film starring James Franco, Mila Kunis and Jessica Chastain.

‘Tar’ was premiered last year at the Rome Film Festival, and now, almost a year later, a trailer has finally arrived.

The film documents the life of poet C.K. Williams through his award-winning poems, from his childhood and adolescence to the peak of his career.

The 12 NYU students have turned a book of the writer’s poems into a feature film starring Franco as Williams at age 40 and Kunis as his wife, Catherine. Other big names that appear in the film include Jessica Chastain, Zach Braff and Bruce Campbell.

At its premiere in Rome last year, the film also featured C.K. Williams himself, although he does not appear in this trailer.

According to The Los Angeles Times, ‘Tar’ is due for release on December 1.
