William Eubank is set to direct a contemporary retelling of Alexandre Dumas’ “The Count Of Monte Cristo” for Warner Bros and Safehouse Pictures.
According to Deadline, Joe Pokaski has also been hired to write the script for the film which has been titled “Count”.
We don’t have many details on the film yet, though we do know it will be a “contemporary retelling” of the classic tale, set in the criminal underworld.
Safehouse Pictures’ Tory Tunnell and Joby Harold are producing.
