Alec Baldwin is the latest addition to the “Joker” origin flick, joining Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz and Marc Maron.
Baldwin will play Thomas Wayne, the father of Bruce Wayne – the one we know as Batman. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script paints Thomas Wayne as a cheesy and tanned businessman who is more in the mold of a 1980s Donald Trump. Given Baldwin’s ‘experience’ playing Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, this could be his perfect role.
Phoenix is set to play the title character of the Joker. The film is set for release October 4, 2019.
