MGM/Warner Bros has tapped Amy Jump (“High-Rise”) to pen a sequel to “Tomb Raider”. Alicia Vikander is reprising her role as plucky adventurer Lara Croft in the film, which gets a greenlight based on the $274 million the Roar Uthaug collected at the box office.
The sequel’s scribe is rising up the ranks; her recent work includes “Free Fire” with Brie Larson and Amie Hammer, “Kill List”, “Sightseers” and “A Field in England”.
Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Alastair Siddons wrote the first installment.
