Andrew Adamson (“Shrek”, “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”) is in negotiations to helm and co-write a “Curious George” movie for Universal and Imagine Entertainment.
According to THR, the film will be a live-action version of the classic book series by H.A. and Margret Rey.
The curious monkey has been seen in multiple TV, feature and short film adaptations. Perhaps most widely recognised from the animated TV series, “Curious George” was also adapted into an animated feature film in 2006 starring the voices of Will Ferrell and Drew Barrymore.
