Another Shanghai Noon sequel in the works

A second sequel to Jackie Chan-Owen Wilson comedy classic “Shanghai Noon” is in the works, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Jared Hess (“Napoleon Dynamite”) is onboard to direct the MGM action-comedy, with Chan and Wilson in negotiations to reprise their roles.

Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, who wrote 2000’s ”Shanghai Noon” and 2003’s ”Shanghai Knights”, are back on screenplay duties.

Hess’s latest film “Masterminds”, featuring Wilson, opens September 30.
