Edgar Wright has selected Ansel Elgort (“The Fault in Our Stars”) to headline his next, “Baby Driver”.
Variety has the casting scoop, as well as news that the film will team Working Title Films and MRC.
Logan Lerman and John Boyega were also said to be in contention for the lead.
Elgort would play a getaway driver for different bank robbers who gets in over his head. Emma Stone and Michael Douglas (cast by Wright – though he exited the film -to play Hank Pym in “Ant-Man”) are also said to be in talks for roles, playing Elgort’s love interest and mentor respectively.
