Action-adventure vet Antonio Banderas (“The Mask of Zorro”, “Desperado”) is in talks to join the cast of Sony’s film adaptation of the “Uncharted” video game.
Ruben Fleischer (“Zombieland”) directs the film, the tale of treasure hunter Nathan Drake as he travels to world uncovering various mysteries. Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg have the lead roles in the film, with the former playing Drake.
Sophia Ali (“”) and “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” actor Tati Gabrielle have also boarded the film, says Variety.
Banderas next appears opposite his “Desperado” co-star Salma Hayek in “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard”.
“Uncharted”, penned by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, is set to release in theaters March 5, 2021.
