According to THR, Mr. David O. landed a deal for 13 episodes with a drama series over at ABC. He’ll be serving as an executive producer as well as co-writing the script with Susannah Grant (“The Soloist” & “Erin Brokovich“). The show is currently sans title but they’re describing it as “an upstairs/downstairs soap centered on a private country club.”
Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman will also executive producer over at ABC and CBS.
For fans of Russell’s films, like myself, it’ll be interesting to see his writing transition to the hourly drama, and brings me one step closer to my life-long dream of the director making a series on “I Heart Huckabees” or “Spanking the Monkey.”
