Oft-rumoured contender Asa Butterfield has apparently been signed to play cinema’s new Spider-Man.
Reports, coming from Latino Review, Deadline, and a couple of others, say negotiations are still underway but it’s essentially a done deal. An official press release should be along shortly.
The “Ender’s Game” actor makes his debut as the now high-school aged Peter Parker in next year’s “Captain America : Civil War” before spinning-off into his own solo jaunt a year later.
The plan is for this incarnation of Parker to spend some more time in high school, and being a cheeky youngster, before entering the grown-up world – with his fellow ‘Avengers’.
