Australian actress headed to Game of Thrones

“Babadook” star Essie Davis has joined the cast of “Game of Thrones”, according to The Wrap. It’s Vanity Fair though who have uncovered details on Davis’s role. According to the latter, she will play an actress in a troupe who portrays a version of Cersei. In addition, the outlet says another recently-announced cast addition, Richard E.Grant, is playing Cersei’s late husband, Robert Baratheon.

Hobart born Davis broke out with her role in “The Babadook” but has also appeared in the likes of “The Matrix” sequels, “Australia”, “Burning Man” and ABC TV hit “The Slap”.
