Baldwin rewriting Bourne Legacy sequel

Suggesting the script’s not in a good place, Universal have tapped Andrew Baldwin to rewrite next year’s (yep, it’s due out late Summer 2015! Not long to ready it, boys!) “Bourne Legacy” sequel.

The up-and-comer – whose work includes the abandoned “Logan’s Run” remake over at Warners, and the original spec “Bastille Day” – will step in for “Sherlock Holmes” scribe Anthony Peckham, who wrote an earlier draft.

Justin Lin (“Fast & Furious 6”) is attached to direct the film, which will again follow Jeremy Renner’s Aaron Cross character.
