Flaxen-haired genre staple Bella Thorne is shooting “Habit” for Voltage Pictures (“Cabin Fever” 2016, “Burying the Ex”) and Donovan Leitch.
Leitch, 852 Films, Martingale Pictures, Voltage Pictures, Cloudlight and Elevated Films produce the pic, which is being directed by Janell Shirtcliff and was written by Suki Kaiser, based on a story by Libby Mintz and Shirtcliff. In the film a street smart, party girl with a Jesus fetish gets mixed up in a violent drug deal and finds a possible way out; by masquerading as a Nun.
Thorne is no stranger to heavier fare, having appeared in “Scream : The Series” and in such fright-flicks as “The Babysitter”, “Amityville : The Awakening”, “Keep Watching”, “Forget Me Not”, “Mostly Ghostly”… and that Adam Sandler thing she played his kid in.
Donovan Leitch is producing along with Josie Ho, Michael Suppes, Chris Pak Yu Mung, Chan Pang Chun, Damon Lawner and Libby Mintz.
Cassian Elwes, David Unger, Will French, Adam Edelman, Suki Kaiser, Conroy Chan, Paul Miloknay, Bella Thorne and Nicolas Chartier are listed as Executive Producers on the picture.
