As previously reported, the next “Batman” movie – the first of a proposed trilogy from “Apes” alumna Matt Reeves – won’t feature Ben Affleck’s codpiece.
What many were wondering though, was whether the actor would still be playing the caped crusader in other films – even if he wouldn’t be involved in Reeves’ film?
Seems not. Affleck appeared on Jimmy Kimmel tonight and confirmed that he is indeed retiring from the role.
Earlier this week, Moviehole reported that Bradley Cooper was being sought to take over Wayne Enterprises immediately after Affleck’s departure but for various reasons that didn’t work and producers have since decided to hunt for a younger actor to play the next Bruce Wayne – with everyone from Robert Pattinson to Jake Gyllenhaal reportedly in contention.
