Six time Emmy nominated star Bob Newhart (“The Bob Newhart Show”, “Newhart”) is set to appear on an upcoming episode of hit CBS Comedy “The Big Bang Theory” in May, as reported by TVLine’s Michael Ausiello.
Newhart will play “Professor Proton” who is the former host of Sheldon Cooper’s (Jim Parsons) favourite childhood science show.
“According to a BBT source, Sheldon tracks his idol down online and discovers that he can be hired out for parties and events. Naturally, Sheldon books him to come to their house.”
The episode is scheduled to air in the states on Thursday, May 2.
